Wigeon
The wigeon is a medium-sized duck with a round head and short bill. There are two instances of Wigeon on London’s street signs, Wigeon Path in Woolwich and Wigeon Way in Yeading.

Wigeon is a prized, medium-sized wild duck with a rich, gamey flavour. A dabbling duck, it feeds on grasses and plants, so typically tastes milder than diving ducks. Young birds can be cooked quickly and served pink while older birds benefit from being braised or roasted more slowly.
