There are three instances of this fruit on London’s street signs, Melon Place in Kensington, Melon Road in Leyton and another Melon Road in Peckham.

A melon is any of various plants of the family Cucurbitaceae with sweet, edible, and fleshy fruit. There are many different types of melons, most of which are eaten fresh or in desserts.
