Cinnamon

Cinnamon is featured on five of London’s street signs: this example in Wapping as well as a pair of Cinnamon Closes, a Cinnamon Mews and a Cinnamon Row. The name of Wapping’s Cinnamon Street first appears at the end of the 17th century and was related to a warehouse that stored the spice on the site.
