Street sign on a brick wall pointing left, reading 'MULLET GDNS'.

Mullet

Mullet Gardens in Bethnal Green is the only instance of this fish on London’s street signs.

A whole fish with silver-gray scales and a slightly darker back, lying on a white surface.

Mullet

Mullets have served as an important source of food in Mediterranean Europe since Roman times. A handsome, textured sea fish with a strong flavour, it is best accompanied with robust and lightly acidulated sauces, dressings and marinades featuring lemon, white wine vinegar, capers and garlic.
