Perch

The only instance of this freshwater fish on London’s street signs, Perch Street is in Shacklewell.

Perch

Perch is a tasty freshwater fish found in abundance in British waters. Once popular on Victorian tables, perch is now hard to buy and is usually the reserve of fishers who catch it themselves. Perch has firm white flesh with a good flavour and can be cooked like trout.
