Oyster

There are four instances of this shellfish on London’s street signs. Oyster Row is in Stepney, there’s an Oyster Mews in Plashet and two Oyster Closes, one in Barnet and another in Elephant & Castle.

Oyster

Raw oysters have complex flavours that vary among varieties and regions: salty, briny, buttery, metallic or fruity. The texture is soft and fleshy. Oysters can be eaten on the half shell, raw, smoked, boiled, baked, fried, roasted, stewed, canned, pickled, steamed, or used in a variety of drinks.
