Cucumber

Cucumber Alley is unique in Streats of London as being completely covered, being as it is in the Seven Dials food market of Covent Garden. It also doesn’t appear in the London A–Z Street Atlas, so thanks to my friend John Aparicio for spotting it for me.

Cucumber

There are three main types of cucumber: slicing (cucumbers grown to eat fresh), pickling (with brine, sugar, vinegar, and spices) and seedless (these are typically sweeter and have a thinner skin than other varieties of cucumber).
