Shandy

Shandy is a refreshing, popular drink in the UK and other countries, made by mixing beer or cider with lemonade or lemon-limeade. Originating in the 1850s as the ‘Shandygaff’ (beer and ginger beer), it evolved by the late 19th century to its current form, dropping the ‘-gaff’ and substituting lemonade for ginger beer.
