Oat
Oat Lane in the City of London has been marked on London maps since 1600 and before. It is the only instance of this cereal grain on London’s street signs.
Oats
When used in foods, oats are most commonly rolled or crushed into oatmeal or ground into fine oat flour. Oatmeal is chiefly eaten as porridge, but may also be used in a variety of baked goods including cakes, flapjacks and breads. Oats are also used to produce the milk substitute, oat milk.
