Pear

As well as Pear Place in Waterloo, there are five other examples of this fruit on London’s street signs: three Pear Closes, a Pear Mews and a Pear Road. Additionally, there’s a Pears Avenue in Sunbury.

Pear

Pears are consumed fresh, canned, as juice, and dried. The juice can also be used in jellies and jams, usually in combination with other fruits, including berries. Fermented pear juice is called perry or pear cider.
