Vinegar

Vinegar Street in Wapping is joined by Vinegar Alley in Walthamstow and Vinegar Yard in Bermondsey as examples of this condiment on the street signs of London. With it’s proximity to the Thames-side warehouses of Wapping, it’s likely that the street was named after a building where vinegar was stored.
