Strawberry

There are seven instances of this fruit on London’s Street Signs, with several around the area of Strawberry Hill in south west London near Twickenham. Known as ‘Strawberry Hill Shot’ in the 17th Century, the area became so named following the author Robert Walpole’s fanciful Gothic Revival villa. Elsewhere in London, there’s Strawberry Fields in Farnborough, Strawberry Hill in Chessington, Strawberry Lane in Carshalton, and both Strawberry Terrace and Strawberry Vale in Finchley.
