Garlic

Garlick Hill in the City of London is the only instance of the food on London’s street signs. The street leads from Mansion House down towards Upper Thames Street, where it originated at the now-lost dock or jetty known as Garlickhithe.

Garlickhithe was, not unsurprisingly, where garlic was landed and sold in a tradition dating back to at least the 13th century.
