Cicely Road

Cicely is featured twice on on the street signs of London; this example is in Peckham while Cicely Court is in Waddington.

Cicely

The leaves of cicely are sometimes used as a herb, either raw or cooked, and have a rather strong taste similar to anise. Also edible are the roots (which can be cooked like parsnips) and seeds (which can be chewed raw). Like its relatives anise, fennel, and caraway, it can be used to flavour akvavit.
