As well as Hare Walk in Hoxton, there’s Hare Place just off Fleet Street, Hare Row in Bethnal Green and Hare Street in Woolwich.

Hare

Hares are renowned for their strong gamey flavour and rich meat. Similar to venison – rather than its milder cousin, rabbit – hare is best suited to slow-cooking methods such as casseroles, stews, or the traditional ‘jugged hare’ dish.
